Using Pattern Wire for Earrings

Here's a reasonable way to create one of a kind earrings, with Sterling Silver. Buy premilled pattern wire, and cut it to straight lengths of 1 inch. Round the ends using a nail file or emery board, drill the piece, and sand the back with the emery board to soften the harshness of the pattern wire. Add a handcrafted earring wire, and you have a beautiful design.

Simple and elegant.

  1. This is a gorgeous design- so simple and lovely! Did you come up with it yourself?

  2. Dhhhuh,,yup... I'm sure it's been done before. But I really like working with the pattern wire.

  3. I love these. Where do you get the pattern wire?
